Hryhoriy Skovoroda is Ukrainian philosopher, a patriot-humanist, poet, teacher, and one of most famous public figures. He had a strong belief in the efficacy of science. His poems and fables are revered because Skovoroda was and continues to be the voice of the Ukrainian people. “The world tried to catch me but didn’t succeed” is Skovoroda’s famous saying written on his grave.
On May 7, 2022, a targeted russian rocket attack destroyed the Museum of Hryhorii Skovoroda in the village of Skovorodynivka in the Kharkiv region.
The Skovoroda pair are a charitable initiative to preserve the great and priceless cultural heritage of Grigory Savych. Part of profits from each pair will be donated for reconstruction the Skovorody National Literary and Memorial Museum.
