Akademik Vernadskyi” station. was founded in 1947, and in 1996 it was transferred to Ukraine. Scientists at the station conduct meteorological observations, geophysical research, study the ozone layer and the Earth’s geofield, and do a lot of other work important to science. Socks from this set can be worn with pride, because the Ukrainian flag flies at the Akademik Vernadskyi station.
