Description
NAFO (The North Atlantic Fellas Organization) are warriors of the information war, dedicated to countering Russian propaganda and online fakes and raising funds for the Ukrainian military. In the spring of 2022, an artist with the nickname @Kama_Kamilia started making avatars for Twitter users based on Shiba Inu dog meme for a donation to the Georgian Legion.
Fellas are spreading true information about the war in Ukraine and mocking Russian bots on the network. Many high-ranking military and civil officials in Ukraine and NATO countries have changed their avatars to a Fella. Among them: Ukrainian Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov, President of Estonia Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, United States Representative Adam Kinzinger, and United States Army Major General Patrick J. Donahoe.
