Trek Merino — Penguin

If anyone knows the best how to trek through snow, it’s penguins. A whole colony of these remarkable birds lives near the Vernadsky Research Base. They inspired this pair of trekking socks — durable, warm, and irresistibly charming.
Merino wool regulates temperature, Pima cotton adds softness, and synthetic fibers dry quickly and boost durability. The high cuff keeps the socks in place without squeezing, while the smooth, flat toe seam prevents chafing. Inside, soft terry makes every step feel light.

Dodo Socks × NASC is an official collaboration with the National Antarctic Scientific Center (NASC).
Together we created products inspired by the people who explore the world’s edge. Ukrainian scientists at the Vernadsky Research Base work daily among snow and penguins, studying climate and nature to better understand the planet’s future.

The collection includes merino trekking socks, a warm beanie, and Velcro-backed patches. Made for those who aren’t afraid of the cold.

Dodo Socks is a Ukrainian brand of antiroutine socks and comfortable underwear. Before 2022, our production mainly happened in Rubizhne, Luhansk region; today, it has been relocated to Lviv. We see our mission in popularizing Ukrainian culture and making a tangible contribution to making the world a tiny bit better place. Since 2022, supporting the military has been our goal and the very meaning of our work. In total, we have donated over 33 million UAH to defense needs, with the largest portion — over 25.9 million UAH — going to the «Come Back Alive» Foundation.

Materials and care

Composition:
  • 57% cotton Pima;
  • 25% Merino wool;
  • 16% polyamide;
  • 2% elastane;
Care: to prolong the life of your socks we recommend washing them inside out at a temperature of 30℃/86℉. Do not iron and try to avoid tumble drying. And, most importantly, treat them with love.
